As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I bring experience from a wide range of settings—including community mental health, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, and outpatient care. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients of all ages through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, eating disorders, trauma, grief, life transitions, and adjustment difficulties.

I’m especially passionate about helping clients who are struggling with self-esteem, body image concerns, and eating disorders. Learning to build a healthier, more compassionate relationship with yourself—and with your body, food, and movement—can be a vital part of healing. I also value trauma work and helping clients make sense of past experiences, recognizing how they can shape thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the present. Understanding this connection often opens the door to meaningful and lasting change.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in honesty. I meet clients where they are and move at a pace that feels safe and supportive, while also being direct when it’s needed. I believe that clarity and gentle challenge are often the tools that help clients make real progress toward their goals.

I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, always through a trauma-informed lens. Depending on the client, this may include CBT, DBT, attachment-based work, or somatic techniques that connect the mind and body. I also enjoy supporting parents and families—helping repair connections, navigate challenges, and strengthen relationships in ways that foster growth for everyone involved.

Above all, I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for change. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you feel understood, empowered, and equipped to make meaningful, sustainable progress.

My Approach

About me

Outside of the therapy room, I’m a new mom learning the beautiful, messy rhythm of life with our daughter, who joined our family in October 2025. My husband and I also share our home with two energetic rescue mutts who keep us laughing and on our toes.

I’m happiest when I’m outdoors—whether it’s a simple walk, exploring a new trail, or finding a quiet spot to breathe. I love murder-mystery podcasts, cozy evenings with a good show, and diving into creative projects or home DIY ideas that spark my curiosity. I enjoy traveling and finding small adventures to help me stay grounded and inspired. I believe that staying connected to the things that bring me joy helps me show up more fully as a therapist.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and my Master of Social Work degree from East Carolina University. At the heart of who I am—both personally and professionally—are authenticity, connection, and curiosity. These values shape how I move through the world and how I show up with my clients.

My methods

Trauma-Informed Therapy

A compassionate, safety-focused approach that recognizes how past experiences shape current thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, helping you build regulation, empowerment, and a sense of control.

DBT-Informed Therapy

A skills-based approach that teaches practical tools for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and improving communication—helping you navigate big feelings more effectively.

Cognitive therapy

In cognitive therapy, the focus is on what people think rather than what they do.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

An evidence-based approach that helps you identify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, develop new coping strategies, and create meaningful shifts in how you feel and respond.
